Dedicated to student's and our youth but an inspiration for all
lyrics
Chorus:
Be the change that you want to see,
You can be anything that you want to be,
If you don’t know the answer then ask for help,
And when you got some time help somebody else,
Be the change that you want to see,
You can be anything that you want to be,
If you don’t know the answer then ask for help,
Read a book and feed your mind, educate yourself
Verse 1:
I remember growing up, life was hard
I thought it was all about having money and cars,
With my friends feeling untouchable,
Until somebody made me feel uncomfortable,
To never give up, my mentor told me one day,
That it’s never too late for a good change,
All this time I was feeling so crazy,
But deep inside I knew that I was angry,
I wanted change but I didn’t know how,
I couldn’t look into my future, I felt beat down,
I felt sad and mad, Kind of like my dad,
I started using drugs so I wouldn’t feel bad,
I couldn’t take this stress any longer,
It was easy to give up then stay stronger,
But for the sake of the unborn children,
I will be the change and express what I’m feeling
Verse 2:
Life is a Journey, and it can be hard,
It can make you want to give up and run away far,
But stay strong and control yourself,
Read a book and educate yourself, take care of your health,
If you don't know the answer, ask for help,
Because if you don't speak up, it might hurt someone else,
Be the change that you want to see, give a smile give a hug like a family,
And if ever in life, you committed something wrong,
Think about, how to do it right and then move on,
It’s okay to make mistakes, we are not perfect,
Just be the best you can be and focus,
Think about your future but it starts today,
We have to work for things and do more than pray,
We have to come together and build a bridge,
Lets do it for each other, especially the kids
Verse 3
I want to dedicate this song to all the students,
Teachers, families and everybody doing,
Giving meaning to life, giving meaning to love,
Giving meaning to peace, because we all got the same blood,
It doesn’t matter what race you are no more,
Lets together to hold hands and stop war,
People dying every day because of guns,
Gangs and drugs, liquor stores and thugs,
Treat each other how you want to be treated,
You got to give some respect if you want to receive it,
Good friends in our life are needed,
And you can be anything but you got to believe it,
If you don’t have a hobby I suggest you have one,
Make a positive choice without using violence,
Stand up for your rights don’t be silent,
Be a leader and don’t follow no non sense,
